Head of Maths with 20+ years’ teaching experience, specialising in GCSE exam preparation and confidence building for all abilitiesI am a fully qualified secondary mathematics teacher with over 20 years of experience, including 10 years as Head of Mathematics in a successful secondary school.Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all abilities, helping them to build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve strong outcomes in mathematics. As an experienced Head of Maths, I have an in-depth understanding of the GCSE curriculum and what is required for students to succeed in exams.I am passionate about making maths accessible to all, and helping students overcome barriers to learning. I pride myself on being calm, patient and supportive, creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive and tailored to each individual student.
I begin by identifying any gaps in understanding and areas of difficulty, then build a clear and secure foundation before moving on to more complex topics.
